Packaging Sizes

25kg net. Double plastic bags lined plastic woven sack.

Storage conditions and packing?

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources and keep out of direct sunlight. The package need to be sealed. It should be stored separately from acids and food chemicals, and should not be stored together. Storage areas should be equipped with suitable materials to contain spills.
Packed in a woven bag lined with a polyethylene plastic bag, with a net weight of 50kg per bag. Store in a ventilated and dry warehouse. It should be heat-insulated and moisture-proof. It should not be stored and transported together with acids and liquid ammonia.

Stability?

Use and store according to specifications and avoid contact with oxides, there is no decomposition will occur. Almost insoluble in water, alcohol, methyl acetate and ammonia. And soluble in acid. Does not work with cold concentrated nitric acid and concentrated hydrochloric acid. It begins to decompose and release carbon dioxide when heating at 400 ℃. In the air or in the presence of weak oxidants, it is gradually oxidized to high cobalt carbonate. Soluble in dilute acid and ammonia water, insoluble in water, and it is easy to become trivalent cobalt carbonate when heated and decomposed in air.

Toxicity and Protection?

Inhalation of cobalt compounds sometimes causes bronchial asthma and grinding cobalt compounds may cause acute dermatitis, and sometimes ulcers form on the skin surface. The maximum allowable concentration of metal cobalt and cobalt oxide is 0.5mg/m3. Pay attention to dust prevention and removal when working, and wear a gas mask to prevent aerosol damage to the respiratory organs. You should also wear dust-proof overalls and protective gloves to protect the skin when working. The product may be harmful to the environment, and special attention should be paid to water bodies.

Applications?

1)It is the raw material for producing other cobalt salts and cobalt oxidein chemical production. It also can be used as a colorant in the ceramic industry and used as mineral dressing agent in mining industry. Used by the organic industry to make catalysts, camouflage paints, and chemical temperature indicators. Agriculturally used as trace element fertilizer. It is used as analytical reagent in analytical chemistry.
2)It is used in the manufacture of cobalt oxide and the raw material for the manufacture of positive electrode materials for lithium batteries. It is used as mineral dressing agent, catalyst, pigment for camouflage paint, feed, micro-fertilizer, ceramics and raw material for producing cobalt oxide.
