Stability?

This product is light blue powder, easy to sublime. Soluble in water and organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone. This product will quickly turn into a red hexahydrate when exposed to humid air. It is easily soluble in water, methanol and ethanol, but insoluble in most organic liquids.

Hazard overview?

Routes of entry: Inhalation, ingestion
Health hazard: Irritant to eyes, skin and mucous membranes, prolonged or repeated contact may cause allergic reactions.
Environmental hazards: Harmful to the environment and can cause pollution to water bodies.
Explosion hazard: This product is nonflammable, toxic, irritating and sensitizing.

The emergency measures?

Skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and rinse with plenty of running water.
Eye contact: Lift the eyelids and rinse with running water or saline. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Quickly leave the scene to fresh air. Keep airway open. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration immediately. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink plenty of warm water, induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.

Spill emergency treatment?

Isolate the leakage pollution area, and set warning signs around it. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Flush contaminated area with copious amounts of water and place diluted sewage into waste water system. It can also be carefully swept up to avoid dust and transported to a waste disposal site. In case of a large amount of leakage, collect and recycle or discard after harmless treatment.

Handling and storage?

Operation precautions: Airtight operation, local exhaust. Prevent dust from being released into the workshop air. Operators must undergo special training and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter dust masks, chemical safety goggles, anti-poison infiltration overalls, and rubber gloves. Avoid the generation of dust. Avoid contact with oxidizing agents and alkali metals. Equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may contain hazardous residues.

Precautions for storage: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep out of direct sunlight. The package is sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants, alkali metals, and food chemicals, and should not be stored together. Storage areas should be equipped with suitable materials to contain spills.
